Hotel Reservation Information

We have selected three inexpensive hotels for E3 to help dioceses minimize costs and to assist in creating a youth-friendly community. Each hotel has different rates and payment policies, and each diocesan group is responsible for making its own arrangements directly. All three hotels only require a credit card number to guarantee the rooms by phone and have generous cancellation policies (be sure to check when you call), so it would be wise to reserve rooms even before you complete the recruitment and registration process.

If you choose one of these properties, DFMS will provide ground transportation between Columbus Airport and the hotels on June 14 (afternoon) and 19 (morning), and to and from the Convention Center as noted on the schedule. If you are not at one of these properties, ground transportation will be your diocese’s responsibility. Parking is free at the hotels but downtown parking will be at a premium.

As a rule, all three hotels will accept a State of Ohio tax exemption (contact your diocesan treasurer or controller for a copy of your diocese’s certificate) to exempt your hotel stay for the 6.75% state tax. However, you will need to use a diocesan credit card or pay by a diocesan check in advance secure this exemption. The rates quoted here include neither the 10% county tax nor the 6.75% state tax.

The Hawthorn Inn & Suites Columbus West has 70 rooms that can sleep 5-6 persons in all-suite accommodations with kitchenettes, indoor pool, and a hot breakfast at a rate of $89.00 per night, plus taxes. The website for the hotel is: http://www.hawthorn.com/reservations/locationdetail.asp?facid=772

The Comfort Suites Keim Circle has 30 double/queen rooms that can sleep up to 4 persons per room with refrigerator/microwave, an indoor pool and expanded continental breakfast at a discounted rate of $72.10 per night, plus taxes. The Red Roof Inn Columbus West has 21 double/full rooms that can sleep up to 4 persons per room with morning coffee/tea service at a variable rate: Two adults (6/14: $64.99, 6/15-17: $73.99, 6/18: $64.99), Under 18 (up to 4 per room) (6/14: $58.99, 6/15-18: $67.99, 6/18: $58.99), all plus taxes.
